10 Cheap and Free Souvenirs at Disneyland

Disneyland overall can be a costly experience, and as a family of six souvenirs from the park make it that much more expensive, so I have compiled a list of free and very inexpensive items within the Disneyland Resort.

1.Pressed Pennies- Disneyland has pressed penny machines all over the resort and only costing $0.51, it’s more than likely the cheapest item for purchase. My kids totally enjoy putting the coins into the machine and watching it come out flat, its something we do every time we come to the park and its also very easy to store in my bag.

2.Buttons- You may be visiting Disneyland for a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or it just maybe your first time and at the magic kingdom they like to give out buttons to show everyone just why you’re there. Located at City Hall at the main entrance of the park you can go up and ask for a button at a no cost. They customize each button with your name or the reason you’re celebrating. We have an extensive collection of buttons for each of our children and its a free way to remember the day with a special souvenir.

3.Shrunken Ned Cards- Located in the Adventureland Bazaar. There is a witch doctor Shrunken Ned who gives out many different diagnosis cards for only $0.50 There are a lot of different cards and it can be fun to collect them all as you visit the resort each time.

4.Fortune Red Cards- Similar to the Shrunken Ned cards, these trading cards are located in New Orleans Square at the Pieces of Eight shop.  This machine plays a song and dispenses a card with lots of pirate wisdom, and again at the low price of $0.50.

5. Autopia Drivers License-This gem is located in a machine at the end of Autopia in Tomorrowland and only cost $5. It takes your picture creating a custom fun souvenir for any racing enthusiast.

6.Silhouettes- If you have never seen the Disneyland Silhouette shop on Main Street then you should defiantly stop in on your way out or during down time and pick two up. At only $9.95 anyone at any age can have their silhouette cutout for a keepsake, the great thing is that it only takes a few minutes. They also have frames for purchase at what seems to be a reasonable cost, but it does come in a nice folder if you’re not interested in the frames for sale.

7. Jungle Cruise Map-This souvenir is literally so cool and so free. Just ask for one when you’re getting off the ride!

8. Mark Twain River Boat Certificate- Again very cool and free! You only get this if you ask to go into the wheelhouse with the captan and steer the boat. These are really nice and not a lot of people take advantage of these amazing keepsakes.

9.Autographs- You can always buy or bring an autograph book for any characters that you meet. There are a lot of characters out usually and all willing for photo and autograph opportunity.

10.Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster Photo- At the end of the ride you’ll be able to find your picture and have it emailed to you for free!
